OMODA & JAECOO bring their latest SUV range to CarFest 2026
Electric, full-hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs took centre stage as families explored the latest OMODA and JAECOO models at Silverstone.
The story in brief
OMODA & JAECOO at CarFest 2026
- Silverstone showcase: CarFest ran from 28–30 August 2026 at Silverstone Circuit.
- A broad electrified range: the display covered pure-electric, full-hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs.
- Models on the stand: visitors explored the JAECOO E5, 7 and 8 alongside the OMODA 5, 7 and 9.
- See them locally: Invicta represents both brands in Ashford, Barnet, Bolton, Maidstone, Preston and Ramsgate.
CarFest gave families and car enthusiasts a close-up look at the rapidly expanding OMODA and JAECOO line-ups, all in one place.
Held at Silverstone Circuit from 28–30 August, the festival combined cars, live music, food, wellbeing and children’s entertainment while raising money for UK children’s charities. CarFest describes itself as the UK’s largest family fundraising festival.
For OMODA & JAECOO UK, the weekend was a chance to move beyond specification sheets. Visitors could sit inside the cars, explore the technology and compare three different approaches to electrified driving: pure electric, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
Cars made accessible
A proper opportunity to look, sit and compare
CarFest’s family atmosphere suited a range built around everyday use. Compact models sat alongside larger SUVs, while the mix of electrified powertrains gave drivers a useful way to compare how each option could fit their routine.
The official OMODA & JAECOO programme also included test-drive opportunities, adding a real-world element to the static display.
“CarFest is far more than a motoring event – it’s a celebration of family, adventure and shared experiences.”

Choosing your powertrain
Electric, SHS-H or SHS-P: what is the difference?
The CarFest display made it easier to see that electrified driving is not one-size-fits-all. OMODA and JAECOO now offer three distinct routes, depending on how and where you drive.
- ElectricThe J5 EV uses battery power alone and is charged at home or on the public charging network.
- SHS-HA full hybrid that manages petrol and electric power automatically, with no external charging required.
- SHS-PA plug-in hybrid that can be charged for electric-only journeys while retaining petrol power for longer trips.
