The OMODA 9 makes a strong case for buyers who want a well-equipped plug-in SUV without moving to a premium-brand starting price. To make this comparison useful, we are looking at OMODA 9 SHS-P Noble MY26 and the Audi Q5 SUV e-hybrid Sport 299 PS S tronic—not a petrol Q5, Sportback or higher Audi trim.
Both offer all-wheel drive and chargeable electric driving alongside a petrol engine. The choice is about the complete package: the purchase price, equipment you want and how the car fits your everyday journeys.

Where OMODA’s standard equipment stands out
The Noble specification brings an opening panoramic roof, head-up display, Sony 14-speaker audio and heated, ventilated front seats with massage. If those are features you would choose anyway, having them included makes the quotation easier to assess.
Audi lists its head-up display and Bang & Olufsen audio in a £2,495 Technology Pack on Sport. Its panoramic roof is optional on that trim. The Q5 also has its own attractions, including a 14.5-inch OLED centre display and standard Park Assist Plus. Compare the features you would use, rather than simply counting equipment.

Compare your routine, not just the range number
The OMODA’s longer advertised electric range may appeal if regular charging could cover more of your usual journeys. Work out the distance of your commute, where you would charge and how often you make longer trips. That is more useful than treating either maximum figure as a fixed result.
The Q5 here is a five-seat SUV, as is the OMODA 9. Bring your passenger and luggage needs to the appointment: check the seating position, rear access and the space available with the seats in use. Neither the badge nor a maximum load-volume figure can answer those questions for your family.
A longer standard warranty is another OMODA strength
OMODA’s seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty provides a longer standard period than Audi’s published three-year/60,000-mile cover. That is a useful ownership difference, but it does not mean the policies cover every component on identical terms.
