Performance

Two efficient powertrains are available for the Renault Captur. The Captur TCe 115 features a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 115hp, and a manual transmission. The Captur E-Tech Full Hybrid 160 pairs a 1.8-litre petrol engine with two electric motors developing 160hp combined. The self-charging powertrain provides electric driving for short distances in urban areas, and lowers fuel consumption on longer drives with no need to plug in. The Captur hybrid features an automatic transmission.

Exterior Design

Powerful and precise, the Captur’s strong stance comes from its sharp front end design with angled LED lights, and large alloy wheels within flared arches at each corner. A rising window line and dark lower trim emphasises the crossover style, with the optional diamond black roof making the Captur stand out further. Choose from six exterior colours and three customisation packs in Champagne, Highland Grey or Glossy Black to perfectly tailor your new Renault Captur to your style.

Interior design

Compact outside, spacious within. The Renault Captur’s flexible interior can be easily adjusted to your needs with a sliding rear bench as standard. Passengers can enjoy up to 22cm knee room, or the 484-litre boot can expand up to 616-litres with the bench in its forward position. Comfort and connectivity go hand-in-hand, with two intuitive displays ahead of the driver, and convenient access with keyless entry as standard on all Captur models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Key information.

How much does the Renault Captur cost in the UK?

The Renault Captur price depends on your chosen specification and the offers available. Explore our Renault New Car Offers for current pricing and finance options, or ask Invicta Motors for a quotation tailored to your preferred version.

Is the Renault Captur available as a petrol or hybrid?

The Renault Captur range includes the TCe 115 petrol and E-Tech full hybrid 160. The petrol version has a manual gearbox, while the full hybrid is automatic. The full hybrid combines a petrol engine with electric drive and recharges its battery without plugging in.

What MPG does the Renault Captur hybrid achieve?

The Renault Captur E-Tech full hybrid 160 offers up to 64.2mpg combined under WLTP testing. It can use electric drive when conditions allow, particularly in slower traffic. Actual fuel consumption depends on your route, driving style, weather and vehicle load.

How big is the Renault Captur boot in petrol and hybrid versions?

Captur boot space depends on the engine and rear-seat position. Renault quotes 484 to 616 litres for the petrol version and 348 to 480 litres for the full hybrid. The sliding rear bench lets you choose between extra rear legroom and additional luggage space.

What warranty comes with the Renault Captur?

The Renault Captur has three years' vehicle cover: unlimited mileage for two years, then a 60,000-mile total limit in year three. Full hybrid traction batteries have eight-year cover, unlimited for two years and then capped at 100,000 miles. Warranty terms apply.

Which Renault Captur trim is right for me?

Evolution includes smartphone connectivity and a reversing camera. Techno adds Google built-in and a larger digital driver display. Esprit Alpine brings sportier styling, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. See the Equipment section on this page for current trim details.

Do you need a home charger for the Renault Captur hybrid?

No. The Renault Captur E-Tech full hybrid charges its battery through the petrol engine and energy recovered during braking. You fill it with petrol as usual, so it can suit drivers who want hybrid efficiency without installing a home charger.

Is the Renault Captur suitable for a family?

The Renault Captur has five seats and a rear bench that slides by up to 16cm. This lets you adjust the balance between passenger space and luggage room. Its split-folding rear seats also help when carrying longer or bulkier items.

Does the Renault Captur have Google built-in?

Google built-in is included on Renault Captur Techno and Esprit Alpine versions. It provides integrated Google Maps navigation, voice assistance and compatible apps through the OpenR link system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also connect compatible smartphones; online services may require a data connection or subscription.

Does the Renault Captur have a reversing camera and parking sensors?

The Renault Captur specification includes a reversing camera, with parking sensor equipment varying by trim. Higher specifications add more assistance for manoeuvring. Check the Equipment section on this page for the parking features included with your chosen version.
