The 2026 Subaru Solterra uses a dual-motor drivetrain with Subaru's Active Torque Split system that continuously manages the permanent all-wheel drive system. A special X-MODE setting provides added confidence on rough terrain. The Solterra delivers 218hp and 336Nm torque, allowing quick acceleration to 62mph in just 6.9 seconds. Thanks to its 71.4kWh battery, the fully-electric Subaru Solterra can drive up to 289 miles WLTP, and rapid charge at up to 150kW DC.

Exterior Design

Rugged design for all-terrain performance. The Solterra brings Subaru's design language into the electric age, with a trapezoid grille sitting proudly on the nose. Heavy-duty wheel arch extensions and bumpers designed to endure off-road excursions feature at both ends, and 18" or 20" wheels sit at either end of the long wheelbase. A high ground clearance of 211mm means the Solterra is capable of taking the cross-country route that other EVs may not dare traverse.

Interior design

The Subaru Solterra's interior blends the latest technology with timeless versatility. The digital instrument display sits within the driver's field of vision, while the touchscreen infotainment system is within easy reach for convenient operation. Physical controls are found on the multifunction steering wheel and centre console for effortless interaction with key systems. Storage space is plentiful within the five-seat cabin, and in the boot offering up to 452 litres of luggage capacity.
