The case for CX-60
CX-60 is the simpler answer for households that never need more than five seats. It is 250mm shorter, yet its 570-litre luggage area is large and square. With no third row to manage, all rear-seat passengers get the same two-row layout on every journey.
The case for CX-80
CX-80 is designed for changing passenger needs. Seven seats are standard, while selected grades replace the middle bench with two individual captain’s chairs. With all rows raised the 258-litre boot favours soft bags; fold row three and the 687-litre space becomes more suitable for a full family holiday.
Plug-in hybrid or diesel?
The plug-in hybrid makes most sense when it can be charged regularly and local journeys fit its electric capability. The diesel can better suit repeated high-mileage and towing use. Both can tow up to 2,500kg on specified versions, but the vehicle, trailer, nose weight, licence and loaded combination must all be checked—not just the headline limit.
