Your quick guide

  • Race of Remembrance: 6–8 November 2026, Anglesey Circuit.
  • Mission Motorsport has created a bespoke poppy livery for Mazda’s 1995 MX-5 heritage car.
  • See the organiser’s visitor information, discover the charity’s work and explore today’s MX-5 at Invicta.

A car with a purpose

A familiar shape, a meaningful new livery

The original Mazda MX-5 has become a canvas for remembrance. Mazda UK’s 1995 heritage car carries a poppy design created by Mission Motorsport’s vehicle wrap team, bringing a distinctive visual tribute to the Armed Forces community.

Announced by Mazda on 2 October 2026 and highlighted again in the charity’s 8 October newsletter, the car is due to appear at the Race of Remembrance in North Wales. It will be on display and take part in demonstration laps.

For anyone drawn to the MX-5’s history, this is a chance to see a first-generation car with a very different story to tell. The one-off livery belongs to this heritage car; it is not a new retail MX-5 edition.

6–8 November 2026

An endurance race that makes time to remember

The Race of Remembrance takes place at Trac Môn, Anglesey Circuit, from 6–8 November 2026. Mission Motorsport’s flagship event brings military veterans, service leavers and the motorsport community together for a 12-hour endurance race.

Its defining moment comes on Sunday morning, when the racing pauses for a remembrance service. That pause gives the whole paddock a shared opportunity to reflect before the cars return to the circuit.

If you are planning to attend, use Mission Motorsport’s October update for the public ticket link and its event calendar for the latest arrangements. Check visitor information before travelling rather than treating a car display as a separately bookable driving experience.

Beyond the circuit

Supporting the people behind the event

Mission Motorsport uses motorsport and the automotive industry to support people affected by military service. Its work includes recovery activities, training and help towards civilian employment. The race gives that work a visible focal point, but the charity’s purpose continues throughout the year.

There is also a way to take part without making the journey to Anglesey. The charity’s Legacy Lap initiative invites supporters to sponsor a five-metre section of a virtual circuit map, adding a dedication or message as the track changes from red to green.

A donation or visit is a personal choice. The useful starting point is the charity’s own information, where you can see what it does and how to get involved.
