Your quick guide

  • Four grades: Prime-Line, Centre-Line, Exclusive-Line and Homura.
  • Shared engine: 141ps 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G mild-hybrid petrol with a six-speed automatic.
  • Useful space: 583-litre boot, up to 2,000kg braked towing and six-year/100,000-mile Mazda warranty.

What stays the same across the range?

Every all-new CX-5 uses Mazda’s 24V M Hybrid assistance and a six-speed automatic. Prime-Line and Centre-Line are front-wheel drive; Exclusive-Line and Homura offer front-wheel drive or i-Activ all-wheel drive. Your main choices are equipment and traction rather than a different engine.

Mazda announced the UK range from £31,550 OTR. Invicta’s Prime-Line page still lists that entry price; use our current offers to compare the exact grade, options and any stock saving.

Equipment for everyday life

Centre-Line or Exclusive-Line: start with your routine

Centre-Line adds a group of features that can be useful throughout the week: heated seats and steering wheel, a head-up display and a power tailgate. It is a sensible grade to compare with Prime-Line if those items are on your wish list.

Exclusive-Line shifts the emphasis towards passengers and parking. Bose audio, heated rear seats, the panoramic roof and 360-degree camera give you specific upgrades to try rather than a vague promise of “more luxury”.

Bring your phone and explore the touchscreen while parked. Google built-in features have connectivity and service terms, so ask about any trial period and later subscription charges before relying on a feature for your daily journey.

Flagship grade

Homura: the larger screen and extra comfort

Homura adds the 15.6-inch centre display, leather upholstery and ventilated front seats. Those are tangible differences: compare the display size, seat feel and controls with an Exclusive-Line before choosing.

There is also the drivetrain decision. All-wheel drive is offered on Exclusive-Line and Homura and may suit regular routes where additional traction is useful. Front-wheel drive has the stronger official economy, and both drives share the same quoted 2,000kg braked towing limit.

For space, the new CX-5 offers 583 litres behind the rear seats and up to 2,019 litres with them folded. Check your own luggage and rear-passenger needs in the car, rather than deciding on volume alone.

“the Mazda CX-5 is an incredibly important car in Mazda’s history”

Jeremy Thomson, Managing Director, Mazda Motors UK · UK launch announcement, April 2026

Six-year Mazda cover

Mazda introduced a six-year or 100,000-mile new-car warranty for UK vehicles registered from 1 September 2025, whichever limit comes first. Maintenance conditions and exclusions apply; this covers qualifying defects rather than routine servicing or every ownership cost. Mazda’s warranty announcement.

  • Compare the controls. Try the centre display, driver display and any head-up display.
  • Check the cabin. Sit in the rear and bring your child seats or regular luggage.
  • Match the drivetrain to your routes. Explain where extra traction would be useful.
  • Check the exact order. Confirm equipment, options, price and delivery with the team.
