OMODA 5 Hybrid: tech made simple
Your maps, music and calls should feel familiar in a new car. Here is what the OMODA 5 Hybrid offers, and which technology comes with Noble.
OMODA 5 Hybrid technology, at a glance
- Both Knight and Noble offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for compatible phones, plus twin 12.3-inch displays.
- Noble adds cooled 50W wireless phone charging and an eight-speaker SONY audio system.
- Try it with your own phone: check your favourite supported apps, the screen position and charging before choosing your car.
Familiar apps, a new car
Does OMODA 5 Hybrid have CarPlay?
Yes. OMODA lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for both UK OMODA 5 SHS-H grades, Knight and Noble, in its current model specification. The Invicta OMODA 5 Hybrid range also includes smartphone integration in the entry grade.
For an iPhone, CarPlay brings supported navigation, music and communication apps to the car’s display. Android Auto provides similar access from a compatible Android phone. You can keep using familiar services while getting to know the car.
This guide focuses on the current OMODA 5 SHS-H full hybrid. When looking at an earlier car or another powertrain, check its own specification and software rather than assuming every OMODA 5 is identical.
Two screens, different jobs
What do the displays do?
The dashboard combines a 12.3-inch driver display with a separate 12.3-inch central touchscreen. One presents driving information in front of you; the other gives you access to the car’s infotainment and supported phone apps. See the Invicta equipment list.
CarPlay and Android Auto display compatible apps, rather than every app installed on your phone. Apple’s CarPlay guide and Google’s Android Auto requirements explain the phone and software requirements.
While parked, try the functions you will use most: select a familiar destination, find a favourite album and check how voice control works with your phone. Keep the demonstration centred on everyday tasks, not just the size of the screen.
Choose the technology you value
What does Noble add?
Knight already provides the connection to your phone. Noble adds features that may appeal if music, charging and extra cabin comfort are priorities.

Noble also brings heated and ventilated front seats and a sunroof in the Invicta specification. Consider those features alongside the technology when comparing the current OMODA offers.
Bring your phone to the showroom
Three useful checks before you choose
Connect your own handset. Ask for a demonstration while the car is parked. Check that the phone meets Apple’s or Google’s requirements and that the apps you want are supported. A working connection with a different phone does not answer every compatibility question for yours.
Try your music and navigation. Listen to a familiar track at a normal volume, check the route display from your seating position and practise finding the controls. If two people will drive the car, ask how to switch between their phones.
Check the charging tray separately. Wireless phone connection and wireless charging do different jobs: one links supported apps to the car, the other supplies power to the phone. On Noble, try the tray with your handset and usual case.
These small checks make the specification more useful. They also give you a clear reason to choose the grade whose features you will enjoy every day.
Your questions answered
Does OMODA 5 Hybrid have wireless Apple CarPlay?
Yes. OMODA’s current UK specification lists wireless Apple CarPlay for Knight and Noble SHS-H versions. You need a compatible iPhone and the appropriate settings enabled.
Does OMODA 5 Hybrid support Android Auto?
Yes. Both SHS-H grades list wireless Android Auto. Check Google’s current handset and software requirements, then try your own phone in the car.
Do I need Noble to use my phone’s maps?
No. Both Knight and Noble include the smartphone integration. Supported navigation apps can be used through CarPlay or Android Auto with a compatible phone.
Is wireless charging the same as wireless CarPlay?
